Biography
Florence an architect and urban planner holds a Master of Regional and City Planning from University of Oklahoma. Currently, she is enrolled in a PhD program at University of New Orleans with a research focus on health and the built environment. She is the Program Manager for the Healthy Neighborhoods Study and is responsible for the coordination of programmatic duties as related to the study implementation. Over the years, Florence has traveled and gained a wealth of experience in Ghana, Costa Rica, and India focusing on projects that enhance the quality of life of community residents looking at equity and access at many levels.
In her spare time, she volunteers for an organization that supports youth and families impacted by the juvenile justice system. Her greatest joy is raising her three children and savoring the sights and sounds of New Orleans.
