In August 2023, MAC co-hosted a breakfast for our community partners along with Tulane’s Center of Excellence in Maternal Child Health, the Tulane Nutrition Leadership Training Program, the Center for Youth Equity, and the Violence Prevention Institute. The purpose of this breakfast was to express our sincere gratitude to all of the community organizations with whom we work and partner with to improve population health in the area. There were 30 participants at the breakfast, representing 17 city and state health department programs, non-profit organizations, and other academic institutions. It was a joyous opportunity where existing relationships were strengthened and new relationships were formed. Our work at MAC would not be possible without the insight and expertise our community partners bring to the table.
