Melissa Evans

Biography

Melissa Goldin Evans is a postdoctoral fellow at MAC. She earned her Master’s in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2008 and her PhD in Public Health from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center’s School of Public Health, Department of Community Health Sciences in 2017. Emphasizing her passion for reproductive health equity, Melissa’s dissertation pertained to measuring access to contraceptives among Louisiana women with Medicaid who were at risk of unintended pregnancies. Her research interests include maternal and child health disparities and equitable community-level solutions.

Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cheering on the Saints, cooking vegetarian meals, and listening to live music.
